    sana lisboa hotel

    Lisbon
If you´re in Lisbon, don´t miss this hotel. For a 3-night romantic package, I paid € 375. This came with a closed garage and fresh fruit everyday in the afternoon delivered to my room. It also included a beautiful view of the Castle of Sao Jorge, free solarium use, a sauna, and a daily newspaper. Subway and bus stops are located right outside of the hotel. I could not have asked for more!

    Lisbon
A 4-star hotel located in the Marquis of Pombal Square. It was refurbished in 2004, and it's a comfortable hotel located in the centre, but not right in the busiest part of the city. The metro (line 1) is right on the doorstep, and there are plenty of buses. In fact, from the airport, the number 22 bus leaves you right at the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms aren't too big, but they're more than adequate for a city hotel. The breakfast buffet is pretty good. It's right at the start of the Eduardo VII park.

I stayed at this amazing hotel during one of my visits to the city of Lisbon. It is ideal to relax and unwind in the spa while feeling like a prince in a nineteenth century palace, especially at breakfast, in that wonderful salonesde time. The gardens are classified as National Monument and have views of the river Tagus and April 25 Bridge.

    travellers house - hostel
    Youth Hostels in
    Lisbon
The Travellers House is the best youth hostel I've ever stayed in! It is located centrally (3 minutes walk from the Plaza del Comercio), clean, nice, and with a generous and outgoing owners, for example, for New Years Eve they organized a beer-drinking contest to promote his "open bar" , a cooler full of beers that everyone could help themselves to. The decor of this place is fantastic and makes you forget the fact that you are having to share a room with 3 or 5 people in wooden bunks, and have a communal bathroom (which obviously is separated for boys and girls). I think they have a private room but I don't know what it costs or if it is hard to reserve and if it is usually always full. In the lounge, there are several nice sofas and beanbags and it is a space where you can hang out and listen to music or read one of the many travel guides at your disposal. There is also a nice kitchen that can be used, a large dining room and a lounge with computers and free internet. It is advisable to book a month or more in advance because everyone knows that this is THE hostel in Lisbon.

    micasaenlisboa hotel
    Hotels in
    Lisbon
Micasaenlisboa is a bed & breakfast in the Graça neighborhood, one of the most real and authentic Lisbon towns, without tourists. It is between two viewpoints, Graça and the prettiest town in Lisbon, Senhora do Monte, on the tram route 28. All 4 bedrooms have beautiful views of the city, from San Jorge Castle, Chiado, to April 25th bridge. In addition there is a small garden where you can have breakfast, drink a wine in the evening, or lie and do nothing in the company of Lola, the friendliest dog in the world. The owner is a Spanish woman who fell in love with the city and this little gem was opened in summer 2007. It has a collection of beautiful vintage furniture and lamps, and both she and the friends who help her, give advice about thousands of sites that do not make the guides to help you make the trip about doing what you love, not what they say in tourist information offices. On Saturdays Ladra accompanies you and helps you to haggle at the better known places and meet all sellers. Rooms come with private bathrooms, wonderful breakfasts (they feed you lots, but it's worth it), wifi and complimentary bar. The best room, the attic, has a very low roof, but lovely bathroom and a terrace with amazing views (I uploaded photos). They will expand, but still do not know when, so you better ask.

    vip executive villa rica hotel
    Hotels in
    Lisbon
I visited this hotel in May 2007 and the truth is that I would like to go again. It is a 4 star hotel in a quiet area but with good communication links to the city center by metro (the station is virtually opposite and about 4 stops to th centre). It is a 4-star hotel opened in 2002 and comprises of a total of 171 rooms, cafe, restaurant, spa, sauna, gift shop, conference rooms ... There is a garage but not necessary because you can park on the street without any problems (although it is an ORA area). The room was very spacious: It had two 105cm beds, TV, minibar, etc, and free internet (ask for a network cable at reception). It was clean, and the decor was modern and new. We slept very well, as it is a very quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was also very spacious with a hot tub and full range of amenities. Of course there were radiators for heat and air conditioning for cold air with an adjustable thermostat in each room. Accidentally, we ordered breakfast in the room, as we did not realize that it is one hour behind so we got confused about the time we wanted it. There was no problem, we called reception and within 10 minutes it arrived. We ordered two continental breakfasts and the truth is that two people could ask for one breakfast. The supplement for ordering room service breakfast 4 €. The common areas were also in line with the rest of the hotel- current and modern, the lobby was very large, without walls separating areas, with a piano and courtyards that give a sense of spaciousness. There was also a computer area with free internet service. The staff was very friendly and spoke perfect Spanish ( we even called them to book us a table for dinner in a restaurant). In the basement there is a spa (which unfortunately was closed), use of which is included in the price of accommodation, it had a sauna and an indoor pool. They also offered other payable services such as massage, to join the water aerobics classes by appointment), and other water activities. Of course, I would highly recommended this hotel.

    Lisbon
I was lucky enough to stay at this luxurious hotel on my recent trip to Lisbon. It is conveniently located next to the Marques de Pombal Square, close to the historic centre of the city. The entire hotel has great service, and looks picture-perfect. It has elegant, functional decor, sure to make you feel comfortable. It has a bar, restaurant, free wifi, business centre, parking, fitness room, laundry, babysitting and other services. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and with all the details perfect - stereo, plasma screen TV, the most complete minibar I've ever seen, and an immaculate bathroom with bathrobe, slippers and more. The views of Lisbon from the room are also spectacular. The breakfast buffet is just wonderful, very thorough and very efficient service. Overall the friendliness and professionalism of the employees caught my attention. Being a luxury hotel the hotel's private parking seemed somewhat expensive, as did the drinks at the bar, but I suppose that's common in hotels of this category. In short, you'll have a stay to remember here.

A quiet hotel near the Park Metro Station, near the center (you can easily walk, although with the city's transport it takes five minutes). Our room was good, comfortable and updated with a very large bathroom and separate sitting area with a sofa bed. The staff was friendly and attentive. The number 44 bus can take you to and from the airport, although it is better to take the Aerobus, which costs 3.50 euros, because then you can take all the buses you want throughout the whole day, even trams and elevators. The Santa Justa bus, which charges by the minute, comes free with the Aerobus ticket if you use it the same day.

The Mundial Hotel is in Martin Moniz Square, near the Station and Rossio Square, in a central area of Lisbon. It's 4-star and 350 rooms that were renovated a few years ago. A few meters away there are bus, tram and metro stops, so it's a good hotel for the entire city. I don't really like the area because after a certain time we saw "strange looking" people in the square and we had a bit of bad feeling at dusk.

    as janelas verdes hotel

    Lisbon
This is a 4 * hotel in Lisbon, next to the Art Museum. It has a bus and tram stop nearby, so although it's not in the centre, it's easy to get around town. As for the hotel, it's simply spectacular. It's in a renovated palace, with a neat style, very welcoming. On the top floor is a library with a fireplace, and a terrace offering beautiful views of the River Tagus. The bar serves a wide variety of drinks to savour on the terrace. The rooms are nice, just the right size - not too small, but also without any empty space. They have all the details you would want: air conditioning, TV, high speed internet, full soundproofing, a well-maintained bathroom, bathrobe and slippers, umbrella, desk, TV, and DVD player. As for breakfast, it has a wide variety of sweet and savoury offerings, with juices, cheese, and a bottle of cava. If weather is nice it's served on a great outdoor terrace, and if not, in the back room, which is also very nice. If you want to enjoy Lisbon in a good hotel, where the staff are very friendly and everything is perfect, this is your place. Only thing, the price starts at 155 € for a double ... but it's worth it.

    alfama patio hostel
    Youth Hostels in
    Lisbon
Hey: maybe going to hostels may seem like it's for rail-riders or broke college students (which, basically, isn't far from reality) but really if I'm sharing this hostel it's because I would recommend it to anyone. Moreover, you can find some of the best hostels in the world in Lisbon according to the trusted site Hostelworld, so it's not such a bad idea to stay in one of them on a visit to the city. Located in the neighborhood of Alfama (the nicest neighborhood in Lisbon), it's a typical Portuguese building, with its courtyard, the clothes drying in the air and its people walking around cheerfully. From reception to the kitchen, to the rooms, the decor is carefully thought-out, to capture the decadent vintage charm that is Lisbon. More: 16 euros per night including a complete breakfast, and it has a terrace with benches for eating lunch and/or sunbathing with the Tajo in the background. I wanted to stay and live there.

    nh lisboa liberdade hotel

    Lisbon
We started our holiday in Portugal by visiting its capital, Lisbon. We were looking for a central hotel, and chose the NH Liberdade because we've enjoyed this chain in the past. The location is great, a few minutes walk from the squares of Rossio and Restaurateurs. It's just opposite a subway station, and there are several bus stops nearby. The area was full of luxury shops. The room was great, with all the usual amenities you'd expect from an NH (sponge, shaving kit, sewing kit, etc). It had a mini kitchen with a Nespresso coffee machine, but refills are charged. The breakfast was varied with fruit, lots of pastries, assorted juices, cereals, sausages, and coffee. There was no hot breakfast, but we don't care about that. Free wifi in the lobby. The rooftop pool was a bit small, and the water was freezing. There was a sort of mall downstairs with different types of restaurants. Room service is slow, and of poor quality. The price we paid was 98 € per night, with breakfast. The cost of parking is 17 € night.

The Avenida Palace Hotel is unique for their special features and is different to traditional hotels, making it a very pleasant place to visit and enjoy. Its greatest feature is that the hotel was renovated in the 19th century. Its location is divine, it's oriented to Plaza de los Restauradores - a beautiful tourist place to visit in the heart of Lisbon. Also there's a view of the majestic Castle of San José from this hotel.

I went to Lisbon for the first time this summer, on a trip with my friends. We booked rooms in a lovely bed & breakfast, and when I returned with my family in December, there was no space available, and they recommended an apartment in Baixa House. Upon arrival, we realised we had chosen well. Our apartment was overlooking the sea, on the 5th floor of the building (with a lift): a huge, tastefully-decorated and modern loft. The breakfast each morning was delicious - fresh homemade cake, jam, Portuguese butter, yogurts with fresh fruit, and every morning fresh bread was provided, hanging on the door in a fabric bag. They left us a great map with many recommendations, and best of all: sailing on the Tagus watching the sunset. Every time we needed any help, they responded immediately to our text. Brilliant!

It's not in the center, but I don't care because it's next to the subway that takes you to several stops in downtown Lisbon. It's a 5 star hotel in an elitist chain that provides quality accommodation. The restaurant is great and you can choose to have a buffet. The breakfast buffet is the best we've ever had. Pool, cafe, pub, the hotel is almost directly across from a shopping center, and, occasionally, it throws some some very affordable offers your way (that's where to go to take advantage of this hotel that would otherwise be too pricey). To unwind after a day in Lisbon.

    Lisbon
I stayed for four nights in June, 2009, in the Residencial Estoril, located in Avenida Joao XXI in Lisbon. The area in which it stands has nothing especially interesting, but there's a subway stop and a bus right outside the door, so the transportation is excellent. The room was very small, with barely enough room to walk between the beds. There was a 14" TV on a small desk, but the room was so small that it was impossible to watch TV from bed. The bathroom was quite spacious, though, and had everything except a bath (just a shower). The furniture was in good condition and the decor wasn't bad, neither beautiful nor ugly. The worst thing about the room - although in my experience, it's quite common in this type of accommodation - was the paper-thin mattresses. Breakfast was bread with butter, jam, juice and hot drinks - decent. Regarding the building, the worst thing about it is the ancient elevator, complete with an old-fashioned folding gate. Most people didn't seem to know how to use it, so half the time it was stuck on different floors. We paid 40 euro a night, and for the price, it was pretty much what we were expecting.
