This is, without a doubt, not a hotel with stars. However, it has the advantage that you can look out onto the balcony and it offers spectacular views. The location is also good, in a special place where you can take a walk without and be left open mouthed. All the staff are amiable and treat you like they have known you for a lifetime. The breakfast is not the best of Morocco, but in this case it was not important.
This two star hotel has beautiful rooms that are very spacious and clean with AC, TV and heat. It also has a large swimming pool, Moroccan cuisine and other services. If you can check their website: www.hotelavalleemaroc.com for all inquiries and bookings.
We arrived very late, it was already night, and the road to the hotel seemed endless. It seemed we were never going to arrive ... But then, it was worth it. It is located above everything in the Dades Gorge, and from the terrace you can admire a stunning view of the Gargantas de Dadés. The rooms are nice, comfortable, and despite the cold and damp in the atmosphere are well equipped. The only thing is breakfast, quite basic.

The Hotel Dar El Fen is situated the historic city of Ouarzazate, and it gives off a spectacular style that is pure and majestic. It represents an oasis facing the entrance to the Sahara Desert, with an important golf course of 18 holes and facilities that are both comfortable and luxurious. The surrounding environment is really exciting, being the source of many works of art by renowned artists.
If you're in Ouarzazate, I couldn't recommend a better place to stay. As you might have noticed, Ouarzazate's hotels tend to be charmless concrete blocks or pricey resorts, but the Camping-Bivouac La Palmerie is an oasis of friendliness and tranquility.
It offers affordable rates for those in their RVs or with camping equipment, but also has several indoor rooms and a few Berber tents. The Berber tents looked really great, each with a camel-hair roof, comfy looking beds, and outdoor living rooms complete with shade, carpets, and pillows. Unfortunately, we got here the day after a heavy rain and they suggested we stay indoors, which was wonderful as well. The bathrooms are spacious with plenty of hot water, and the rooms are comfortable and decorated with Berber style. The rates are also very good, around 20-25euros for a room with breakfast.
The owner, Kimi, a young French girl, couldn't have been nicer. She helped us with everything from fresh mint tea on arrival, to booking an excursion to Ait Ben Haddou, to calling our taxis, suggesting things to see nearby, and making us breakfast. She was really a dream and one of the most pleasant hostesses I've ever met. The location is a bit outside of Ouarzazate city, about a 5min. taxi ride, and a veritable oasis of peace and quiet, just what you need after the harrowing grand-taxi ride across the High Atlas!
Thanks for the wonderful stay!
