This hotel is ideally situated and is the closest thing to a Spanish hotel without paying a lot for it, I always recommend a Riad but in this case we had no choice and stayed here. As the end of the trip we liked the comfort and location, it is very important because this city is a city that leaves you exhausted from having traveled and just how many people there are, the burden and the heat near the hotel makes it so you need a rest at the middle of the day.
Fez is a beautiful, majestic and intense city with a very special adobe-colored and maze-like medina. The Riad Dar Bensouda is more than a place, it's an experience. This is a traditional palace restored with care and great detail, and surprisingly low prices.
Located at the entrance of the Fez medina, this is a charming, traditional Moroccan riad, an ideal choice to stay with your family in Morocco's largest imperial city. The riad offers six floors spread over several rooms with all the comfort worthy of the best hotels, impeccable service, and an outdoor pool. There are planted fruit trees outside, and it's open all year round.
Located in the old medina of Fez, an ideal place to move. It was built in the seventeenth century and has been recently restored. It has 7 rooms, I can talk about the four that I reserved. There are three rooms on the ground floor and our 4 were on the first floor. If anything highlights of this riad, it is the lovely and beautiful view of the medina from courtyard and a terrace. We booked dinner, which was great and the breakfast was served in the courtyard, and it was also great. Some negative things: the bathrooms are outdated and they only put shampoo. It's a little tricky to find as it does not have a sign showing the name.
It´s a clean little hotel that is tidy and has good service. Rooms for two, three, or four people, some with bathrooms and others without bathrooms. The prices range according to the season and number of people, between 10 and 15 euros, although like everything here you can also negotiate. It has a large terrace, two floors with great views of the Medina. It is just 20 meters from the main gate there is a barbershop next door, also a little shop to buy things. Perfect location, next to the entrance of the Medina but not within, for many travelers it can be choking having to stay overnight in the Medina, as it is where they spend most of the time during their stay in the city and need to go outside for a breath. I recommend it to everyone, price, quality and comfort ...
A comfortable hotel, although a little bit far from the city centre. Spacious rooms, a good buffet, and fine meals. The freshly made pancakes in the morning are delicious! We enjoyed the pool terrace, with an outdoor bar, and all kinds of refreshments. The only problem is that the wifi isn't very good.
The Batha Hotel is located just outside the Fez Medina, but it has clean, quiet rooms rooms with private bathrooms and air conditioning. The hotel also offers private parking, wifi in public areas and a pool, as well as an Irish Pub that serves alcohol. There is also a safe in reception to guard your valuables. The breakfast was tasty and included in the price of the room.
Lovely place in my stay in Fez, the truth is that everything was magical. This Ryad treats you very well and the staff is very attentive. Fez is a place to fearlessly get lost, especially in the medina, where the people are very hospitable ... I have great memories from my trip.
An exceptional riad. Great location in the medina, spacious rooms, refined, excellent Moroccan cuisine. The welcome from Cathy, Michel, and their daughter Elodie is just wonderful - you can see their desire to share their love for Morocco and advice about the city. We'll be sure to return!
Comfy and clean hotel with great service and care, as well as luxurious rooms at very good prices. There's tea in the attic in the afternoon where you can watch the sunset. Obama, as a host, is wonderful and has tons of stories to tell you. Great person!
This is a lovely Riad in the center of Fez: freshness, lovely smiles, big and tasty specialties. The Riad Idn Battuta is a blend of rest and leisure. Here you are guaranteed relaxation and escape from the routine, to enter the Arab world of the Thousand and One Nights.

Being inside the Medina makes it easier to walk its streets and experience its magnificent culture. The decoration is typically local flavor with a beautiful water fountain inside.

There are all types of Fez lodging available. As well as Westernised hotels, you can find the opportunity of staying in a riad, an amazing Moroccan experience. Inexpensive and usually located in the medina, these are a traditional type of lodging built around an interior courtyard.
Another option to find hotels in Fez is to look in the nouvelle village, the new town, where you can find major international hotel chains.
