They boast five rooms with 8, 6, 4, or 2 beds, and they will provide bedcovers and pillows. The bathrooms are large and spacious, and they have comfortable rooms. In this area of the country, it's hot most of the year. I went in June and there were temperatures of 40-43 degrees Celsius, though they have several fans at your disposal and free wifi. The whole house is decorated with more than 300 works of Yucatan and Spanish art, which gives a special charm to your rest. A very relaxed place to rest, whatever your time. Edwin, who runs the Inn, is friendly and nice, always willing to help and offer his expertise and recommendations, such as excursions to Chiceh, Itza and Uxmal. If you want to go on your own without hiring guides and transportation, he will also give you the solutions you need, such as where to visit, where to eat and information on all kinds on places. It's like everything in Yucatec: quiet and affable. The only negative thing is that they must be paid in cash, and you don't have a key to get in anytime, but you have to call to get the door opened for you (there is a 4am curfew). For me, this is the ideal place to rest in Merida: near the center, cheap, quiet, and pleasant.
During my stay in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, I had the ultimate stay at this tiny hotel that is a little cheesy, a little sexy, but very Colonial, with bright colors in a traditional Mexican style, with "hot pink ¨ being one them. It is set in the center of Merida. The interior of the Hotel is still intact, maintaining the same colonial concept and the original design. Of those is of New Spain. The Spanish loved open spaces and natural lighting. To my surprise I found this great little hotel, within the huge variety that there are, with large chains and luxurious hotels. The great thing about this hotel apart from being small are its outdoor tubs, along with its lakes and spectacular and amazing Spa treatments specializes in chocolate which gives it its name. The perfect experience.

The curtains, blankets and cushions are made of old Guatemala ponchos, while the bathrooms are decorated with colorful Mexican Talavera. The tables and chairs have been hand carved. A terrible deal, although this Hotel is 4 stars , it doesn't live up to its status. Manager Mr Agustín Casasola has a lack of education and a terrible character. Adriana Gongora organises terrible events and has no idea. I hired for a 50 person event, with rooms and rooms some of which were very dirty with many cockroaches, the event was terrible and I didn't receive the proper package deal. The pool looked dirty as if the water had not been changed in a while. I would not recommend this hotel for anything!
