This hotel is only 3 years old, surrounded by sand, coral and an exotic and charming area. The hotel is on a quiet island, a paradise of relaxation and pleasure. The rooms are simply decorated in pastel colors, and very well equipped with fully furnished and big bathrooms and comfortable beds. The Service is excellent.
Start with a topic, it was an earthly paradise, but besides that, it was a special island. Theslogan on the island was "No news, no shoes", everything was natural, special, exempt from noise, stress, pollution, materialism, ... perfect union between nature and man ...
Maldives experts say it's an average hotel compared to others in the Maldives, but they also say the reef is the best! We did the Whale Shark tour, and we also did the Manta & Turtle tour and it was an unforgettable experience. We were practically alone and swam alongside a huge Manta, so close we could touch it if we wanted!
What can I say about a place like this? I think I only need a few words - it's so stunning that when you leave, you are left with a sense of loss and a huge desire to return. The waters, climate, fish ... everything is just beautiful.
A wonderful hotel! We stayed in a deluxe bungalow, which was very spacious, and less than 2 metres from the beach, with its beautiful, clear waters. The hotel is off the island of Male, in a private island surrounded by a coral reef that gives you the chance to go snorkeling. If you do, I recommend bringing some good sunscreen or wearing a t-shirt, because it's easy to forget the time and end up burnt. In terms of the hotel, the room was cleaned twice a day, and the linen changed. Everyone told me that this hotel charged for everything, so we were surprised to find two bottles of free mineral water in the room as well as the goggles and flippers for snorkeling.
The bath had two beach towels. There's plenty of space, and the air conditioning is excellent for dealing with the tremendous heat. Outside on the terrace there's a cute little pool for cleaning the sand off your feet. They offer excursions including a glass bottom boat for $25 per person, a sunset cruise (a yacht with champagne and dolphin watching) $60, a trip to Male for $85, snorkeling $40. There are plenty of restaurants, but for breakfast and lunch there's just the main buffet. At night you can choose from Japanese, Indian, Italian, grill ... etc. At night we saw beautiful fluorescent white crabs toddling about. The sand in the Maldives doesn't stick to your skin, and the water has a very pleasant temperature. Paradise!
On a last-minute budget adventure to the magnificent Maldives, I was fortunate enough to be able to spend a day at a luxurious resort. At the spa hut's edge, I found this carved wooden rehal. Traditionally used to hold books of scripture, it seemed to symbolize open hands in gratitude of the picturesque backdrop bursting with color. As I stood surrounded by the surreal and awe-inspiring view, it served to express my own appreciation of nature's bounties. It captures the essence of my journey and a brief glimpse of a portal into paradise.
We were lucky enough to take the entire family to this tiny corner of the world. Isolated in the Indian Ocean, the Maldives is the perfect place to enjoy all that the sea has to offer - spectacular diving, rich and varied aquatic fauna, placid waters to navigate, and tiny islands where you can really commune with nature. This resort is perfect, the ideal fusion of a high-quality resort and an eco-friendly location with real respect for the environment. Great service, friendly staff ... a dream come true.
What can I say, beautiful place and very friendly people! A clear sea, full of colourful fish. The only sore point is the pollution - just a few plastic bags and bottles at the moment, but enough to be visible!
Incredible ... my honeymoon here was like a dream! It has a terrace overlooking the sea, rooms with living rooms, and a secluded outdoor jacuzzi. The island was small, but we could walk for an hour or more, so we didn't feel completely isolated. All kinds of marine activities available, and plenty of waterfowl.
A unique experience. This was the destination of our honeymoon, we wanted peace, quiet, and relaxation in a quiet environment, which was not easy .... and we got in the Maldives, this luxurious resort.
This was my first trip to a tropical destination, and I couldn't have made a better choice. The Thulaghiri Resort is located in North Male Atoll, about 30 minutes by speedboat from the airport. It's on an oval-shaped island, approximately 300m x 300m. If you want to book, you'll have to go directly through the resort's website. When I went the prices were reasonable, but I was browsing some catalogues a while later, and I noticed that they had increased drastically. The resort only has one restaurant, with an international kitchen but an emphasis on spices and chili! There's not much entertainment - just the way I like it - nothing more than a little bit of music in the evenings at the bar beside the restaurant.
There is also a beach bar but it is only open during the day. The rooms are divided into beach bungalows and overwater bungalows. They are in the typical Maldivian style, spacious and well-kept. We opted for a beach bungalow. The snorkelling was amazing: we saw a myriad of colourful fish, turtles, dolphins and sharks. The reef isn't far away, and you can get there easily by swimming. There are several excursions on offer, including deep sea fishing, diving, the capital of Male, an island of fishermen, the deserted island of Kuda Bandos, and visits to two other resorts. As a lover of the sea, the experience was just perfect. Warm sea 24 hours a day, talcum powder-like sand ... I've never seen anything like it.
The Coco Palm Bodu Hithi is in a lovely paradise island of the same name, and as a modern structure due to its recent opening. In this luxurious resort visitors may be in a unique and private place, with amazing scenery and great facilities where they can relax to the fullest. Perfect place to spend some time with your family or with your partner.
The Soneva Gili (Male - Hulule - Maldives) has 45 water villas, with 7 Crusoe Residences and The Private Reserve which accessed only by boat. Each villa has its own private water garden and the bathrooms have showers that are independent. One can practice all non-motorized water sports (windsurfing, sailing and canoeing Hobicat) and has Sauna and steam in the Spa.
While most visitors to the Maldives are quickly whisked away to a secluded island resort, there are still plenty of places to spend the night in Male, the nation's cramped capital.
Hotels in Maldives are some of the most expensive and exclusive in the world, but hotels in Male are luckily much cheaper. While there are hotels in Male which charge several hundred US dollars per night, most are in the $US60 to $US90 range.
In some places to stay in Male, you can find offers on day trips or other activities, such as snorkeling. Cheap Male accommodations are mostly near the ferry terminals on the north end of the island. Male hotel deals may also include breakfast and wi-fi.
In addition to these cheap places to sleep in Male, there are also impressive hotels with facilities that will make your stay a paradise one you won't want to end. Of course, you'll be paying upwards of $225 USD per night, but you'll experience the best in Male lodging.
