If you like giraffes, you can't miss this hotel in Nairobi, Kenya; it's one of a kind. You can find it online. It only has 4 rooms and the building is really old and has an English style. How can I describe the experience of having breakfast with a giraffe? The second you wake up, you walk to the window and there they are, waiting for a tasty morsel from your hands. They're really amazing! I just lost it!
The hotel in and of itself is nothing special, but the rooms are cute and well-lit. The food's not bad either. It's an ideal place to go with your kids. There are also "pumbas" (that's what I call the warthogs). It's a good choice for spending a night or two either before or after your safari.
The hotel is located in the Aberdare National Park in the mountains of the same name. It is made completely from wood and is, as the name suggests, as an ark with quite normal rooms that are clean and well-appointed. The hotel was built for observing animals on the four observation decks and outdoor terraces. It is directly opposite Yasabara, where the animals come at night to drink and eat. I loved spending the night there - in the room there is a sensor that you can leave on so that, if at night there are any animals drinking at the waterhole, it starts ringing to alert you and you can see them. You have to choose when to get up to look or you will have a sleepless night.
The Samburu Serena Safari Lodge Hotel can be found on the fertile banks Uaso Nyiro River, Th. It's in the northern arid Province, Samburu Serena Safari Lodge offers spectacular views of the river. It's the ideal place for those looking to spend a quiet holiday in the middle of a natural environment, peace and harmony. Guests have a variety of services.
Comfy Lodge is located right on a hill with spectacular views of the Masai Mara National Park and the Rift. It has its own "Airport" (a good dirt airstrip!) near the lodge. The grounds are beautiful and the friendly service staff are typical of Kenyan people - smiles that shine almost as much as the sun. We had an incredible safari lodge where we saw lots of animals and even had a balloon safari - one of those experiences that lasts for only an hour but is remembered forever.
A horseback safari 2 times a day??? Unbelievable ... It is not comulsory. A wildebeest ... Zebras gallops between, Elephants.Cheetahs.Onix, buffalos...can you ask for anything more?? An experience to remember ... Good food ... Great service .... Total luxury. I'm staying in the best suite, a complete chalet, it's really impressive, if you plan on going be sure to contact me. Good luck!
Upon arriving at the gates of the Lake Nakuru reserve, you see the sheer amount of wildlife that lives in the surrounding area of this amazing lake. The hotel is perfect, but remember that in Africa, the majority of hotels do not have air conditioning or televisions in the rooms. It's normal. Going for a safari is spectacular, it's one of the parks where a greater numbers of animals are seen. It really stands out how many white rhinos there are here, and in the water there are thousands of pink flamingos.
The Fairview Hotel is a gem which lacks nothing; from the business centre to the gym, to the pool, beautiful gardens, clean rooms and, finally, the restaurants, of which there are four, all completely different, there is something for everyone. It's not fancy, but it simply has class. In Kenya, the prices are quite affordable; if you're looking for a nice, quiet place near the capital, you'll find it here.
The Samburu Game Lodge (Isiolo, - Eastern - Kenya) is on 10 acres of pristine riverr forest on the western bank of the Uaso Nyiro River within the Samburu National Reserve in northern Kenya, at an altitude of 857m. Samburu National Reserve, together with the smaller but no less attractive Buffalo Springs Reserve, is located 320km from Nairobi. This is true wilderness and is the home to various animals and birds rarely seen in other parts of the country. Here you will find the beige Oryx, gerenuk, Grevys zebra, reticulated giraffe and blue Shanked Somali ostrich. The sun baked landscape is breathtaking with the surrounding mountains on the horizon which shine as temperatures rise. To the west, there is the huge face of the majestic Olympic Olokwe mountains. Herds of elephants can be seen along the rivers and there are also crocodiles as well sightings of lion, leopard and many other exotic animals.
Our hotel is wonderful with large luxurious bungalows of 50 square metres. It has a flower garden above the beach. Apart from this, the view of the Indian Ocean is spectacular. It has everything you could want: pool, beach, restaurants, shops and impeccable super friendly service. It is the best place for a dream vacation.
Located half way down the long road between Nakuru and the Masai Mara, this campsite is a good option to split up the trip and stay overnight before entering the Masai Mara (which is about 3 hours). Although its off the beaten track, it has a restaurant and shops in tents and hot water and from there you can see herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra. You can hire a guide for a walking safari in the area for about 3 hours, which is a somewhat different experience than having to always be in vehicle.
The Barracuda Inn is a lovely resort in Watamu, which is a couple of hours from Mombasa airport. It's a great solution if you're planning to spend your holiday on the Kenyan coast. Guests at the resort, however, may decide to spend their days on the beach or by the pool and jacuzzi, which is located in an elevated position, on a terrace overlooking the sea. The buffet restaurant serves excellent fish dishes, and a wide variety of food. The rooms are very spacious and have a terrace or balcony, surrounded by a large garden, where you can see nice monkeys roaming free (better remember to close the windows). The activities to be carried out in the village are varied: water aerobics, beach volleyball ... evening entertainment in the amphitheatre, a TV room, and friendly, courteous staff.
We stayed at the Loldia House in Nairobi for one night. The owner, Heather, was very welcoming and loves to share her passion for Kenya and Africa in general. All this in a pleasant setting with the sounds of animals in the bush in the background :)

The Tamani Jua is a small, three star hotel in the centre of Malindi. It is located about 300 metres from the tourist area, where you'll find the casino, the shopping malls, the shops, and the city's nightlife. The hotel consists of eight buildings, each with three units, set around a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by a lush garden. The highlight is undoubtedly the kitchen: thanks to the Italian management, you can enjoy delicious Mediterranean dishes, a wide variety from pasta to dessert. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and helping the tourist to feel at ease. The sea isn't too close, but there's a shuttle that transports guests to the Rosada, the beautiful beach where you can use umbrellas and loungers.
Sitting on the banks of the Galana River, enjoying the slow pace of savannah life, you can enjoy true tranquility, with the only sounds being those of nature. The slightly elevated position allows you to spot hippos soaking in the quiet water, and crocodiles sunbathing. Some Masai escort guests and entertain them with stories of the savannah. The rooms are furnished with private facilities. It also has a restaurant (international cuisine), a lounge bar, and a relaxation area (where maybe you'll want to sit and read 'Out of Africa').
We stayed for a month in this place, and although it's not perfect, it has won a place in my heart. The owner of this place doesn't take much of an interest in management, instead leaving the day-to-day affairs to the guys who work here. The property has great potential, located in the small village of Watamu, 200m from the beach, and the main street with banks, restaurants, and the market. There are dogs, cats, turtles and parrots. Our apartment was very large and comfortable. The biggest flaws are the mosquitoes (we went in February), and the mouse in our kitchen. But the boys made an effort, and caught him after a few days. The apartment costs 35 euro per day with use of the kitchen.
