The fascinating Moorish architecture blends with the richness of Indian mirrors. Legend has it that this palace was built by King Jaipur to get rid of a nobleman who wanted to woo his queen. His goal was to secure a withdrawal of the court. There was a noble highly-valued for his exploits to kill him. For this reason, he was given a palace away from his. The palace inside has rhinestones, fine marble, arches and golden chandeliers. A palace of tales and legends.
This hotel is a former palace that has been transformed, and is simply but tastefully furnished. The gardens are large and well-maintained, with a giant chess set where you can pass a lazy afternoon. There's also a large swimming pool where you can refresh yourself after a busy day in the streets of Jaipur. Its location is quiet, the service is good, and the restaurant offers both Indian and Western food.
Probably the best choice for budget accommodation in Jaipur, run by a very friendly and polite family, there is a delicious restaurant on the upper terrace, and traditional Indian decor that makes it very cozy
The Hotel Umaid Bhawan (Jaipur, Rajasthan, India) has a work table in every room. The hotel offers a laundry service, a restaurant, room service, car hire, tourist information and a business centre. It has an open air swimming pool and a car park. It's a three-star hotel. It's in an elegant area in the heart of Jaipor, just a 1km from the train station.
A cheap hotel in Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan and of the city of Palace of Winds and many other masterpieces of Indian architecture. The hotel is in a quiet area but close to the center, and offers very clean and comfortable rooms for only 7€
It is a 5-star hotel, but fairly recommendable. Located about 15 kms from town on the road to Delhi. The rooms are quite modern and seem recently renovated. The buffet breakfast service is spectacular in all kinds of sweet and savory cuisine and the possibility to order a la carte omelette, bacon or eggs, etc .... The pool is rarely used, given the location, but it's the largest in the area, hardly used and spotless. I recommend this choice if we want good quality at a good price.
We fell in love with this hotel as soon as we saw it from the outside. A Rajistan-style building with a beautiful front lawn, it's owner and his wife greeted us with a warm smile, and showed us around. The bed was very big, with high-quality soft cushions. The bedroom was spacious and clean, and the large bathroom had hot water. There was internet access, TV with a thousand channels, and air conditioning (although we didn't need it during our stay). The rooftop restaurant offers hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner. A great place to stay.
You'll find this hotel about 15 km from Jaipur Airport. It's good value for money, although it has some minor flaws. The rooms are a bit small, but everything is very clean, and the bathroom has hot water and better water pressure than you'll commonly find in India. The internet connection is good, and the free wifi works perfectly in the rooms, though not on the restaurant terrace. Breakfast begins at 7, although really you'll have to wait until the cook wakes up or you'll have to settle for yesterday's toast and some reheated soup. As it's a fairly new hotel, bring a good map when you leave, as tuk-tuk drivers don't always know where it is, and it can be exasperating to search for it around the city!
This hotel is best known for its restaurant, the Peacock, which offers real feasts. The rooms are accessible, and the famous roof restaurant makes it perhaps one of the most exclusive addresses in all India.

The best place I stayed during my month in India. Cozy and clean, it's very close to the train station, and you can get there on foot. The owner of the guest house lent me a map, and gave me some useful information about the city of Jaipur.
