Cafés in Whistler
Ingrid's Village Cafe
Although there are other burger bars which may have the reputation of being the best, for me, the best place in the whole town is Ingrid's, a small cafe in the middle of the Village where you can enjoy burgers that taste like real meat when they are in fact vegetarian burgers, over an inch thick. Apparently, Ingrid's was the first vegetarian restaurant in Whistler and it shows. But it offers much more than the best burgers (and healthiest) in Whistler. In the morning, they have breakfast dishes ranging from scrambled eggs with toast and bacon to yogurt with berries and cereals and soups for lunch, made with organic products. The hot chocolate is the star of their drinks, and as one would expect. You can choose it with cow's milk or soy milk for the same price and accompanied with a homemade dessert. And speaking of prices, I would also say that Ingrid's are more than fair and very consistent with the quality of their products and the service you get.
Cafés in Revelstoke
La Baguette
Revelstoke is not a large place, so it is well worth your time to make the 2 minute detour to this place instead of waiting in the drive-thru line at Timmy's. All of their bread is baked in store, which they sell by the loaf and also use in their incredible sandwiches. Endless breakfast and lunch options include sandwiches, bagels, BLTs, breakfast wraps, egg scrambles, bennies, salads, and so much more. There are countless delectable baked goods, all kinds of coffees and teas, and fresh fruit smoothies to stay or to go. The shop itself is tiny, so you might want to take your food to go, but in the summertime there are several tables set up outside. Do not pass up an opportunity to eat here...we absolutely LOVED it.
