After a day in Aberdeen, one of the most remote areas of Hong Kong, eating in this restaurant is a must. It´s specialists are seafood, but the variety on the menu is amazing, for all tastes and prices. The quality is excellent and the service is good at all times, any food or drink in China can be found there. There is an excellent atmosphere, it is traditional Chinese is even more impressive at night.

Starbucks Lee Gardens

The Starbucks of Lee Garden is located within Causeway Bay, in the residential area of the main island of Hong Kong. Because of its locations you will see people of all races enter and stay on the sofas: British, Chinese, Indian, Indonesian ... You can also connect to the internet at this Starbucks, so if you are in the area and you carry your laptop, it can be a good option to have a Frappuccino while you check your email.

Hong Kong Chinese Restaurants

There is nothing like eating in places where the locals like to eat to try exquisite dishes. This restaurant is a typical Hong Kong canteen where workers eat. It definitely shows and they are recognizable. The workers there do not speak English, but you can understand signs. The dishes on the menu itself are also in English. If you want to taste some amazing noodles, do not hesitate and go to one of the hundreds of sites that are similar. You will know when you see them.

Kyo Hachi
Kyo Hachi is a Japanese restaurant at The Peak that's ideal for visitors. The views are absolutely stunning and justify the high (but not unbearable) price. Booking ahead is advisable, especially if you want a table near the window. The food is exquisite, but it's worth going just to enjoy the spectacular vistas.

Flower Trump Restaurant
Flower Trump Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant that is in the central district of Hong Kong, at the height of Lyndhurst Terrace. The food is typical Chinese continental, just as the restaurant décor is the same. They have a variety of dishes and things to choose from, I recommend the tasting menu for dinner which costs about 20 Euros and is quite good in both quality and quantity.

Black Stump
If you want a break from Asian cuisine while in Hong Kong, this Australian steakhouse restaurant is a great option. It's located in Knutsford Terrace, where there are a variety of multi cuisine restaurants from both Asian countries and countries outside Asia (in fact there is a Spanish on the same street). Black Stump is a chain operated franchises. The specialty of the place is crocodile meat, kangaroo and seafood. A normal dinner including drink, could go for about 40-60 Euros per person. They also have a tasting menu for about 36Euros which can also be a good option if you want to try many things.

Heaven On Earth
This restaurant is a restaurant combines various aspects of both its cuisine and its decoration. Located in central Hong Kong, it offers an international atmosphere and has a variety of main dishes and snacks. The cuisine is Asian, with traditional Chinese, Cantonese and Thai cuisine, but with a presentation and influences closer than usual to a western style. Prices are roughly around 15-20Euros per person. I recommend trying the hot dessert banana sandwich with sweet red beans.

Italian Tomato
Italian Tomato, although a cheap chain of Italian restaurants, is actually a Japanese franchise. Their menu barely has some spaghetti and pizza varieties, and some coffee, but to me what I liked most about this chain are the pastries which were pretty good and the price is quite affordable. The rest of the meal was pretty average. (I highly recommend the tiramisu). The Japanese video game company Namco is a shareholder of this chain and more than once their restaurants have appeared on the bottom of their video games. These photos show the store in Sogo Hong Kong.

A spectacular bar until you see the restaurant, which fuses with Italian food and Japanese food on the 30th floor, made of all windows, overlooking the heart of Hong Kong, from Tsimshatsui in Kowloon. It has amazing presentation and a high standard of flavors. It´s a good example that the new things do not always have to be bad or worse. For being in Hong Kong, prices are a bit high, but nothing that someone doesn´t usually pay in worse restaurants in Spain and the UK, to give some examples.

Blues by the Bay
A restaurant which, above all, offers incredible views. That alone makes it worthwhile going. Located on the Star Avenue, it offers a view of the skyline that is priceless. It's made for tourists and you can tell. Do not expect a typical dinner there, but the food is pretty good and the price isn´t bad either, although it is certainly not cheap. However, for 20 euros you can afford to have dinner at a place that will leave you with unforgettable memories. Furthermore, the dishes are delicious.
Cafés in Hong Kong
Café de Coral
Don't get carried away by the name, Café de Coral, because it is not a cafeteria with a European vibe, but rather a chain of Chinese fast food restaurants. There are several locations, both in mainland China and in Hong Kong. I've been to several branches in different parts of Hong Kong and Guangzhou, and all are more or less the same. First you pay, where there is normally a big neon sign on the wall with the menu. You can choose whatever you want to eat, and then you pay the ticket and go to the kitchen area where, on delivery of proof of payment, you would get you food on a tray to eat at one of the tables in the central area of the premises. The food is generally Asian, although some dishes are more Western-based. It's pretty cheap, for about 3 euros you can leave feeling well-fed.

Po Lin Vegetarian Restaurant
When you pay the 6 euros it costs to enter the Po Lin Monastery museum (which is nothing special, but the Tian Tan Buddha is spectacular), you can eat real vegetarian food made by Buddhist monks at the Po Lin Monastery. The food is plentiful, tasty, and obviously purely vegetable. It's a great place for lunch, so don't miss it!

Dumpling Kitchen

This small restaurant is located in a narrow street surrounded by shops. It's easy to miss among the crowds and neon signs, but it's really quite different from others. In HK, modest restaurants are usually very Chinese, but this is an exception. It's cozy without too many lights, no TV, the kitchen in sight, and the service - although the staff don't speak much English - is very friendly.

Mesa 15
Who was going to tell me? In the downtown area of Hong Kong you can discover one of the best Spanish restaurants in the world called Table 15. I found it with the help and thanks to Alejandro Sanchez from Almería. I emphasize the quality of their products and attest that they really are 100% Spanish, but there's also a touch of creativity and combination of flavors to be found in this beautiful Spanish Cuisine restaurant the result is a true wonder. I would recommend the Galician octopus... It's unique.

Pizza Express
I recommend this Hong Kong pizzeria: Pizza Express! Very good and cheap, and everything was delicious. It's right in the heart of the city. We ordered two pizzas, a beer, a glass of wine, two coffees and a dessert. We spent 22 euros each ... a good price in Hong Kong!

Domani
We found the Pacific Place restaurant in one of the best shopping centres. It is a wonderful spot in the middle of the towering skyscrapers. I would happily stay here for a lifetime.

Teppanyaki
Well just that, it´s the best Japanese hotel of my life and it´s not actually in Japan but in the Hong Kong Parkview. This hotel offers an art gallery with original Dali sculptures, original paintings by Picasso, Matisse, Monet, Van Gogh ... Imagine what it´s like to visit the Art Gallery and follow it up with the best food of your life, decide yourselves by the images.
