    la locandiera hotel
    Hotels in
    Venice
The Locandiera is a small hotel only a few steps from Plaza de San Marcos, which is without a doubt the true heart of Venice. I'm highlighting it mainly for its great value / price ratio, something hard to find in a destination as touristy as Venice. Of course, this isn't a palaco overlooking the Grand Canal, but the building and rooms are quite charming. I think it is rather practical to have the hotel on the main island of Venice, so you save a lot of time traveling by boat. To get to the hotel from the airport is as simple as taking the boat "bus" called Alilaguna (alilaguna.it) and getting off at San Zaccaria, just prior to the Molo de San Marcos.

Amazing hotel very close to Piazza San Marco. It's very luxurious and has fantastic service. They hold parties in the basement nightclub on weekends. On check-out day, we were served a glass of champagne when they saw we were waiting. Excellent breakfast buffet on a terrace with spectacular views. The rooms are very nice and decorated in pure Venetian style.

boscolo venezia, autograph collection®, a marriott luxury & lifestyle hotel
    Hotels in
    Venice
With a friendly staff and wonderful rooms, Boscolo Venezia offers a stay fit for a king. It has all the latest amenities and even a private boat that takes you to the Piazza San Marco and Murano. The garden is amazing and it's perfect to sit out and relax after travelling up and down the streets of Venice. The final price is high, but worth it.

san marco luxury – torre dell’orologio suites hotel
    Hotels in
    Venice
The truth is that I really recommend it, since it's located a few meters from Piazza San Marco. But at the same time, it overlooks a quiet and peaceful canal. The only thing that breaks the silence are the bells of the Campanile, which is a real luxury. In Venice, everything is just talk, but not this apartment. It's part of the San Marco hotel chain. And our apartment was 121. The photos are of the views from our room.

    hotel al sole

    Venice
It is a small but lovely little hotel in a busy area of Venice. It is superbly located for people taking cruises because its close to both the port and airport. Besides being close to the main roads and vaporetto routes. The building is a restoration and has all the amenities you could need. Breakfast under the pergola was great, and the fresh croissants would make anyone hungry. Rooms are small but cozy, and the staff is very, very friendly. I'd stay there again.

    starhotels splendid venice hotel
    Hotels in
    Venice
The Starhotels Splendid Venice is a four-star hotel which actually seems more like a five star. Its location near Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square is perfect. We stayed there for a couple of nights in a private room overlooking a quiet canal. The service was impeccable! Breakfast was very good but the variety was somewhat limited. A couple of negatives: Internet access is not free and the room felt very small.

centurion palace - small luxury hotels of the world
    Hotels in
    Venice
The Centurion Hotel is located in Venice, and the easiest way to get there - or at least, the way that we got there - is by taxi. Upon arrival at the hotel, our first impression was better than good. The room was great, although next time we'll ask for a room overlooking the Grand Canal. The vaporetto "buses" or, if you can afford it, the taxis, are the best way to get around - they'll take you to your destination, and you're sure to enjoy the trip. You can also walk: we walked to the Piazza San Marco, and it was worth it, though it was very hot. I recommend eating at the hotel; if you book in advance, you can dine right on the Canal, making for a romantic evening. There are 3 or 4 parking spaces, always watched by someone. The only catch is that you have to leave your keys at the hotel.

hotel des bains venice lido resort
    Resorts in
    Venice
Hotel Des Bains is a landmark hotel that inspired Thomas Mann's novel, Death in Venice, and was later used in the movie adaptation. The movie is a true classic so visiting this hotel has become an essential part of any trip to Venice. Sadly, I visited a few days after the fire of February 2008, so the hotel was closed. The private beach no longer resembles that of the film...the classic blue and white awnings have vanished and have been replaced by some rather questionable huts. In any case, it's worth visiting the hotel, a true landmark in this most romantic of cities.

    albergo cavalletto & doge orseolo
    Hotels in
    Venice
In the heart of Venice, almost in the same Piazza San Marco, the Doge Orseolo Cavalletto & Hotel is an alternative for those traveling to Venice who want to feel the romantic essence of this unique, decadent city. You wake up to the sound of the gondolas in one of the most famous parts of the historic centre, and you can enjoy breakfast in your room while admiring the stunning views ... you really couldn't ask for any more if you travel to this fantastic city. The hotel was opened in 1308, making it one of the oldest in Venice, but of course it has been renovated over the years - it offers elegant, spacious rooms decorated in the Venetian style. I recommend paying a little more to stay in a room here, overlooking the canals and observing the gondolas. The hotel also has a private dock, although the nearest stop is San Marcos-Vallaresso which is a two minute walk. The hotel staff are great, and recommended that we take a private boat to the island of Murano to see the handmade glass factories. A romantic hotel in an unbeatable location - I'd love to go back.

    hotel gardena
    Hotels in
    Venice
Hi everyone! I stayed at this hotel in 2008, but I remember it like it was yesterday. It has a great location, close to the train and bus station and Piazzale Roma. In five minutes, you can get to a vaporetto station to traverse the canals. There are several restaurants in the area. The entire hotel is decorated with Venetian-style furniture. Our room couldn't have been better: it was huge, with a large double bed and a top-quality single (it was an extra). The bathroom was small and ordinary but everything was neat and clean. Breakfast is served in a small room or in the garden (depending on date) and, although there's not much choice of products (pastries, meats, cereals) everything is very good. Finally, I could see that in late 2008 it underwent a reform, so it now has 3 stars. I'd have no hesitation in returning to this hotel - it's just a pity that I don't have any good pictures.

    hotel palazzo priuli
    Hotels in
    Venice
I loved the Hotel Palazzo Priuli. Although we went to Venice in August when the heat is unbearable and the canals are full of tourists, our room was an oasis. It wasn't the best (others have shaded balconies), but it was the attic room (a definite plus) and was spacious with a high baroque bed, dresser and antique wardrobe with tinted mirror. The bathroom was modern and complete, and there were three windows overlooking the canals and the gondolas. The breakfast was nice, served in a parlor with the same neo-baroque design. The hotel is located behind St Mark's Square so it's in a good location to roam the city. It's very romantic, but perhaps a bit expensive (no elevator and the building, although charming, is old).

The La Locanda Di Orsaria hotel is a bit hidden but the decor is great. The breakfast buffet has both sweet and savory dishes and is included in the price. There is also free wi-fi throughout the hotel. It's located right next to Santa Lucia station and Piazzale Roma, so you're close to most everything. A room for two plus breakfast came out to €80.00.

    fusina campsite
    Campsites in
    Venice
If you want to go camping, or stay in a caravan or motorhome when you're in the Venice area, I think this place is the best option. 100m from the site is a vaporetto that will take you to the old city quickly (20 minutes) and in style! The camping facilities are quite nice. The only downside in my opinion - and others may not shrae it - is that there's a little bit of a party at night in the disco. It's not too much of a problem if you sleep on the far side, though, as the noise doesn't carry too much. The campsite is at GPS: 45 ° 25 '09 .61 "N - 12 ° 15 '21 .90" E. Coming from the A4: From Milan, Padua, Brenner, Bologna, Florence, exit at Mestre Villabona, take the bypass towards Ravenna, follow the signs for Ravenna. 5 km and then follow the signs to Camping Fusina.

    ca' sagredo hotel
    Hotels in
    Venice
Named by a prestigious travel magazine as one of the 100 best hotels in the world in 2013, this is built in a fifteenth century palace. Its first owner, back in 1570, was Lorenzo Morosini, patron of the academy to which Titian and Tintoretto belonged. Under gorgeous frescoes you can enjoy a homemade breakfast in the morning, but this is only the beginning of the luxury. There are fresh flowers everywhere, and we recommend the spectacular junior suite - an attic with views on three sides of the Grand Canal and the Dolomites. Wonderful breakfast, spectacular dining room led by a renowned chef, terrace overlooking the Grand Canal, and gondola services are just some of its features; it certainly deserves it's five stars. If you go outside of peak season, the prices aren't too bad.
